Stampin’ Up! Mediterranean Blooms Choose Happy Hello Card (2024)

Good morning and happy Sunday! Hope your weekend is going well! I had a nice birthday yesterday – with a phone call from some friends of mine from back when I was still working with the Army. It was a really nice surprise to get to chat with them! And I had chocolate cake – WOW! – and some gelato. And since today’s the last day of Birthday Weekend…it’s back on salad and cauliflower rice tomorrow!!! LOL!

My card today uses a little set that I suspect you MAY have flown-over in the catalog. It’s called Choose Happy and it’s super cute! And it has a lot of versatile sentiments. For this one, I paired it up with the Mediterranean Blooms DSP. Take a look-see:

I did a quick video on how to make this one, which is posted on Instagram. You can see it on YouTube right here!

The Deckled Rectangles Die set plays a MAJOR role in this card!

I started by cutting out two Deckled Rectangle die cuts from some pretty Mediterranean Blooms DSP. For one of them, I placed the largest Deckled Rectangle on the cutting plate with the DSP – and then placed the Third-from-Smallest Deckled Rectangle inside. So – I ended up with two of the largest rectangle die cuts and one of the third-from-smallest rectangles.

Using the second-from-the-largest Deckled Rectangle die I cut out two Basic White rectangles. While I was at it, I cut the next-to-smallest Deckled Rectangle, too.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere one of the larger Basic White die cuts to the one of the larger Mediterranean Blooms die cuts.

Then I adhered the smaller Mediterranean Blooms rectangle onto the white panel with Liquid Glue.

On the smallest Basic White rectangle, I stamped the Choose Happy sun image in Daffodil Delight ink. I added the little face image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

I stamped the Choose Happy “hello” three times in Pumpkin Pie ink.

Underneath, I stamped the Choose Happy bumble bee in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored the body with the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend.

I adhered the sentiment panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added three Crushed Curry Adhesive-backed Dots for Days and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped the little buzzer in Tuxedo Black on the second second-from-largest Basic White Deckled Rectangle die cut and colored it with the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend. Then I stamped two Choose Happy sentiment words in Pumpkin Pie ink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the die cut to the remaining DSP largest Deckled Rectangle die cut and then into my Thick Basic White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Choose Happy sun and buzzy bee on the front…

…and more Mediterranean Blooms DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila! How fun is this card? I love the Mediterranean Blooms DSP – it transports me to Italy every time I pull it out! And the Choose Happy set is a ton of fun – it’s a sentiment-builder set which means…you can mix-and-match all the different words to make SOO many sentiments! And it’s photopolymer – so it’s easy!

I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix
Stampin’ Up! Mediterranean Blooms Choose Happy Hello Card (34)

My Mom sent a Doggie Ice Cream to Finn.

It needed to be made and then frozen. Totally easy. And – it smelled…WONDERFUL…while we were mixing it up.

Maple Bacon Ice Cream. For reals.

Just checking…

I mixed it up and put it in the freezer….

A few hours later…

I’mREADYREADYREADY!

Ooop – a little mashed potato from Popeyes on his nose…🤷‍♀️

I scooped him up a serving – and he got busy!

It was SOOOO good!!

Thanks, Grandma Kate!
