Leslie's is a rip off!

I purchased two gal of muriatic acid from my local Leslie's. Its regular price was $29.99 and the sale price was $25.49. When I got home I discovered my spouse had just purchased acid for $9.99 for two gallons from the grocery store. I went back to Leslies the next day to return their acid and the clerk said they didn't accept returns on chemicals. The box was unopened. Nothing was wrong with it. I called customer service. They were unhelpful. I will recommend to everyone I know to stay away from Leslie's. You've lost a customer for life!

I paid for an order which was never…

I paid for an order which was never shipped. I’ve called x4 and get nowhere. They’re telling me to call Fed X but Fed X never received product. Three times they said I’d be contacted within 24 hours but never was. They are refusing to refund or ship. Horrible customer service!

won't deliver product. horrible customer service

They took the money for my pump 3 weeks ago but won't call the shipper to tell them to have FedEx pick up so it's just sitting in Chicago for 3 weeks. Asking for a refund today. Fingers crossed. They have horrible customer service. Called and emailed multiple times. They just don't care.

Ordered a spa cover 5 weeks ago....STILL WAITING

Ordered a spa cover 5 weeks ago. Website stated about a week to make this and then it would ship (about 2 weeks). Leslie's let's you track the progress of your order. Yeah, right! Any time I check the progress, the 'estimated' shipping date is changed to one week away! Don't know if I will ever receive this. Customer service is not helpful at all. I would suggest shopping elsewhere.

Why would a business that prides itself…

Why would a business that prides itself on water testing and when you go to have your water tested they are out of disks... Are you kidding me!! . Yes I can test with test strips but it just not the same and these folks at store 501 Antioch CA is useless. They can't tell you what you need to do with a test strip. It's now going on 3 weeks and they still have no disk and ask you to go to another store. I need to find a better pool supply store with GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Stay away from store 501.

One of the worst customer services I’ve…

One of the worst customer services I’ve ever dealt with. Takes hours on the phone to get through and then they say the can’t track there own products for shipment. Was told that a district manager was the only person who could do that. Lol and by gosh three days later still haven’t been contacted by that person. From the store to the warehouse just terrible service. Beware!

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. I ordered a part online. The part never showed up despite Fedx tracking telling me it was delivered. Turns out after talking to Fedx that the address on the package was not my address and they delivered to the address on the package.

I called Lesliepool.com and was told a new part would be shipped shortly. That was 2 weeks ago and I still do not have the part or any communication from them telling me when they would ship the part.

Go elsewhere!

Leslies bought out Texson Pool Company

Leslies bought out Texson Pool Company.
My experience has been total disaster.
Main Pump went out in 02/23. Tech said they didn't have a standard pump and installed a Jacuzzied piece of junk. They programed it wrong. The instructions for the pump is clear as mud. Don't even tell how to adjust the time clock which was programed 4 hours off. It is July and can't get the chemicals adjusted. My pool is unusable. I've called numerous times. The latest was 7/21/23. the tech I spoke with said he would come out that afternoon and evaluate the problems, Changed his story. There was an appointment made for 7/22, no one showed up.
Their company is very unprofessional and can't speak with management personnel. The people you talk with lie. Refer you to another Ph. # and they hang up on you. Now, they 've changed their name but still has the same logo. This is just the tip of the ice burg of the problems I've had with them.

Leslie Pools is baiting and switching…

Leslie Pools is baiting and switching customers with pool closing. I was quoted online, and by phone, that pool closing would be $250 plus a $45 trip charge. When they arrived, I confirmed and allowed the work to begin. After it was done, I was told it would now be $320 plus a $48.15 trip charge. Since I verbally requested a price before services were done and were quoted the price they gave me, I should not be asked to pay the additional fees they added. This is a clear violation of bait and switch. The seller should clarify the price when a customer inquires about service and price. After I reached out to customer service, they quickly told me the price and asked me to send the quoted price to them. They are trying to scam people by making them believe they are cheaper until the service is done. Local pool places near me had a better price, but Leslie said they could match, and they were wrong. I request that the agreed-upon price be honored, or I am left with no option but to take this to court and allow a judge to preside over the case. I am tired of these companies deceiving customers with lowball offers and then jacking up the price.

Service is TRASH!

I scheduled for them to come out and my appointment was weeks out. They were supposed to come measure my pool for a pool cover and they told me no one had to be home as long as they had access to my pool. When the man arrived he had to knock on the door because he was unsure of what service he was supposed to provide because he said his "notes were unclear." I was not home, so my husband called me and I told the man that I was looking for a pool cover quote- manual and automatic. He said ok and went out to the pool. He came back to the door and left a tag saying no one answered and said we needed to reschedule. When I called Leslie's customer service I spoke to 2 different people- the 1st kept trying to get me to reschedule and when I asked for a manager, she said no one was available. I think there was a language barrier because she was understanding my request/questions. The 2nd lady I spoke with was very nice, they said they would have the pool tech call me back, but of course he never did. I would never use them for any service or buy anything from their store because this has been a terrible experience.

Traded at local store for over 15 years. Recent experience is poor service, questionable advise, failure to uphold offers/promotions. Noted changes in personnel, also. Changing to another company for supplies. Need to find a competent provider of water testing.

Worse company ever

I have the worse experience in my life to return an order.
I can not return the order at the store as described on the return policies and the customer service is a joke!!!
Please be away from this company.

Told to Google it and high prices

We bought our pool last year and spent the entire summer trying to keep it from turning green. Spent a whole month using costly product after product only to find out it was the filter so they gave us a new one. But not even a week later it turned green AGAIN!! After several more expensive products and 2 to 3 weeks worth of getting it right we got to use it for all of 3 or 4 days and it was right back to where we started. Was told on SEVERAL occasions that "Google is my friend", so if that was the case why would I go to them?!?! It started out great when we opened it for this season, but not even a week later we were right back to where we started like last year. I switched to a different co.pany and have had no issues since. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE!!!!!

Terrible

We got our cover today from hot tub works- a Leslie pool company. The cover does not fit at all. Our hot tub is 81” in the center but then it tapers down to 78”. There is about 2-3” of space on every corner. This will not work. I paid so much money for this cover and need it to fit. The sales person told me pretty much that’s too bad, it’s non refundable. I originally sent him pictures so he could help me pick the cover. It was also all made in Mexico by a third party. Super disappointing.

Ordered pool filter

Ordered pool filter. After taking the day off to install filter realized the filter was broken internally. Took back to store as directed by customer service. Leslie's then told me that the soonest they could get me another of the same brand name would be in 4 days. In the meantime my pool is green and getting it getting warmer. I researched and found out I could get the same filter today from their store with a different name stamped on it today. Customer service told me they sell that name for more money and were only willing to give me an extra $10.00. They would rather lose my business of 20+years of at least $1000.00 per year then try to make me happy. They don't care if you wait for them to send you a very damaged filter and when asked to rectify the problem, they offer $10 and tell you to find one yourself.
They also don't even seem to have a customer review site, probably don't want all the bad reviews!!!!!

They Sold me chlorine online. I waited 5 days until it said my order was shipped. A few hours later they canceled our order. There is a shortage so they probably weren't happy with the amount we paid

Leslie’s in a high pressure overpriced…

Leslie’s in a high pressure overpriced scam machine. I went in to test my water a couple of years back and even though I have spent thousands over the years there, they refused to tell me the results unless I bought product from them right there, right than. I had extra of what he recommended (Leslie’s brand which I had bought from him) but NO, I had to buy right there right than or else they would not tell me the results. Since then, I went to a mom and pop pool supply and have had no issues since then and only have to pay a fraction of what Leslie’s charges. I was in a hurry today so I went in again and was told a story about how I had to by their expensive shock because they didn’t stock any liquid chlorine. Told me there was a shortage. There WAS a shortage last year, BUT I called around and every other pool supply company had it in stock. Even Lowes and Walmart were overstocked. Leslie’s treats it customers the same way used car’s salesmen treat their buyers. At Leslie’s you are NOT a customer, you are a mark to be conned into spending way more than you need to. I will NEVER EVER set foot inside a Leslie’s again! I will just spend the time to drive across town to be treated like I am not just a giant wallet walking arround to be fleeced.

Store looks like it closed the way it is located. No open/close sign. Brought in a 2.5gal jug in to fill with chlorine. I said I wan this filled please. The guy say you can exchange it with one filled over there. I said I want mine filled I just bought this jug last time i was in and everyone exchanges there beat up ones for the best one. He said well i suppose i can do that. Then an off duty worker butted in on my conversation while I was paying. He did not know the context and tried to lie to me and misrepresent a product. I caught him and he felt foolish in front of the co-workers and then tried to pick a fight with me. I hate this place.

THEIR BUCKETS CAN'T BE OPENED!!

I bought two buckets of ChlorBrite and I tried to open them, but couldn't do it. I called one of the stores, and they told me how to do it. I did as instructed and could not open them. I watched a couple of videos posted on YouTube on how to open these buckets. Apparently, many more people have had the same problem, still I couldn't.

I tried to open them for the next two days; same result. Then I chatted online with someone on their website, and they told me to go to the store so that the employees can open it for me. That's 30 minutes away from home.

It amazes me that this people can make a product that works, but put it in a container that can't be opened. Their chemists do a great job; the guy that designs their buckets does not, and that's the one that pissed me off.
