The Fantasy FUT promo has gone into its second week in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, bringing more upgradeable cards with it!
The event sees boosts given to selected players depending on their real-life performances.

Fantasy FUT
Fantasy FUT was first seen in Ultimate Team last year, replacing the What If? event.
It brings more live cards to the game, which can get upgraded depending on real-life performances from that player and their team.
Fantasy FUT players will receive an initial upgrade at the campaign launch and then have the possibility for a further four boosts.
The selected cards will gain a +1 OVR upgrade when:
- The club wins during one of their next six domestic league games
- The player makes three appearances in their next six domestic league games
- Attackers/midfielders get two goals or assists in the next six domestic league games
- Defenders/goalkeepers keep two clean sheets in the next six domestic league games
- The club avoids defeat in the next six domestic games

Fantasy FUT Release Date
Fantasy FUT took over from the Showdown Series on Friday, 3 March at the usual time of 1pm ET / 6pm GMT.
It will last for nearly two weeks, with Team 1 released initially, before Team 2 followed on Friday, 10 March.
A Mini-Release for Team 1 came on Sunday, 12 March with one for Team 2 on Sunday, 19 March.
Unusually, the loading screen tells us that Team 2 will rotate out of packs on Wednesday, 15 March at 1pm ET / 6pm GMT, instead of on the usual Friday.
This could mean that all Fantasy FUT cards will be included in packs for the last couple of days of the event, or that the next promo - said to be FUT Birthday - drops early, or that EA has a surprise in store!
It should be noted that Friday, 17 March is St Patrick's Day, so we could get a mid-week mini-promo in celebration!

Fantasy FUT Heroes
A massive piece of information leaked before the Fantasy FUT promo began was that FUT Heroes would be included!
Fut Sheriff was the first to announce the news, which could make the promo one of the best ever.
This was confirmed by a loading screen in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, which also showed how the FUT Heroes included are going to gain live upgrades, with their items linked to a club they are heavily associated with.
Fantasy FUT Heroes will be upgraded as follows:
- +1 OVR if the associated former club gets one win in their next six domestic league games
- +1 OVR and +3 new Traits if the associated former club avoids defeat in their next six domestic league games

Fantasy FUT Leaks
All of the Fantasy FUT players who were initially leaked have now appeared in-game!
Lots more items that were revealed have now come in Team 2, so we expect to see the remaining players come via further SBCs and possibly Objectives.
