How can you make your gingerbread house look better?

Purchase a kit. Even if you use different candy decor, the structure is well baked and easy to assemble.
If you are baking your gingerbread pieces. Allow them to cool completely before you take them off the sheet pan. Store in a plastic container overnight in the fridge with baking paper between layers, to crisp thoroughly.
