Summer Arts & Events Schedule


June 18-21, Monday -Thursday: Kid's Day Camp. Four fun-filled days of arts, crafts and activities for children 6+. Held at the Port Orford Community Building and coordinated by Kelly Fleming. This project is supported in part by the Oregon Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency, North Curry Family and Children Center, Southcoast Watershed Council, 2C-J Port Orford/Langlois School District, the Port Orford Police and the Port Orford Arts Council. July 4, Wed.: Quilt Show hosted by the Quilter's Corner held at the Community Building 8am-4pm


July 14, Sat.: Chinese Origami Stack Boxes-1-4pm at the POAC Office. Instructor Roxy Sincerny from Salem has been gratious enough to join us with a new and exciting art form. $20 for members and $30 for non-members.

August 18-19, Sat. & Sun.: Beginning Sea Kelp Wildcrafting with kelp artist Cindy Prince. First day will be at the Battle Rock Beach 10-noon. Sunday is at the POAC Office 10am-4pm. Ages 12+ $20 for members/ $30 for non-members

Aug 31, Friday: "Young at 'Art" Student Art Show at the POAC. Gala/Reception-4-6pm

Aug.31-Sept. 3, Friday-Sunday: The Labor Day Weekend "Arts Festival 2007". Four days of arts activities throughout Port Orford.                                                                        
 Del Rey the Blues Queen will entertain Sept. 1, 2007

Sept. 14, Friday: Annual "Run to the Rogue" potluck/dinner with the Siletz as guests. This year a Native American Dance Troup with six dancers and four drummers will entertain. 4:30-8:30pm at the Community Building. Everyone Welcome! Bring a large dish of food.
